  1. If you have diabetes should be on drugs.

It should take a multivitamin / mineral quality.
    Vit.B 100mg Complex
Omega-3 Fish Oil 1000 mg 3 times daily with meals
    Pomegranate Extract
    CoenzymeQ10 100 mg 2 times a day.
Devil's Claw 600 mg 2 times daily with meals

    Drink lots of water.
Eat fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, tuna (fresh, cold water). Low-fat dairy, lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains.

Try stretching, especially the back and spine.

You say "probably" has a peripheral neuropathy. Is not it diagnosed? You must obtain a definitive diagnosis.

Why the surgery believes that if they are not sure what that is?

He needs to get to see a neurologist and an MRI of his cervical and lumbar spine.

Google: Mayo clinic>> diseases>> Peripheral neuropathy

Good luck to you and your mother.
